Houston Underwater Club (HUC) and SEASPACE pay respects to Dr. S. Harold “Hal” Reuter, who passed away in October 2006. Hal Reuter was an early HUC President, and a driving force behind the 1969 Underwater Film Festival that was the progenitor of today’s SEASPACE Exposition. An accomplished underwater photographer, Dr. Reuter's images won many awards, locally, nationally, and internationally. He remained active in the Houston Underwater Club for many years, and often appeared on television to share his love of scuba diving. Dr. Hal Reuter's creativity, enthusiasm, and years of hard work are all reflected in the SEASPACE you will enjoy this year. We honor Dr. Reuter. . . he will be greatly missed.
